    I would like to know what experiences users have with developing detailed complex control systems. In particular is there a way to initialize the controls blocks other than having to specify an initial condition for each individual block? This quickly becomes impractical as the controls model becomes more comlpex. Thanks.

    Regardless of the complexity of the control system, there exist in EMTP-RV simple methods to initilize automatically the elements which need initial condition by analytical expressions. Please refer to any built-in AVR in the control of machines library.
