Our EMTP® team has started an exciting and innovative project with the Advanced Grid Innovation Laboratory for Energy (AGILe) team at the New York Power Authority (NYPA).

As part of the grid interconnection process, Generation Owners and Transmission Owners (GOs/TOs) need to assess the compliance and adequacy of their EMT models. During these tests, the grid is usually represented by a simple Thevenin equivalent, enabling the evaluation of the model’s behavior in a limited set of scenarios and operational conditions.
