    Hi All,

    I am a beginner in HVDC simulation.

    I want to simulate soft start-up of an AC passive network (long subsea cable). Where in the HVDC MMC model can we adjust/modify to have voltage ramp-up.?

    Dear AGUNG_OWT,

    You should go inside the MMC station model and modify the reference “”Vref”” used for VF-control type. 

    For MMC model example provided in EMPT 2.5, the path for this bloc is: VSC_1/Upper_Level_Ctrl2/VF_control

    You should replace the constant bloc named “”Vref”” with a signal generator. Then configure this later with the appropriate ramp desired.

    Note that Vref value is in pu.
