IBR models verifications and compliances for bulk power-system integrations

October 26 - October 29
$900

Overview

This training will be held in English.

This course is designed to deepen your expertise in EMT Inverter-Based Resource (IBR) models using EMTP®. By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  • To Understand EMT IBR models

  • To know how to build EMT IBR models

  • To understand which model to use for what studies

  • To know how to verify the quality and the conformity of an IBR model

  • To know how to perform important EMT studies:

    – LVRT / HVRT

    – Temporary Overvoltages

    – Switching

    – Stability

    – Sub-Synchronous Control Interaction (SSCI)

This course includes hands-on exercises and guided examples to build both theoretical understanding and practical skills.

Training structure

The training lasts for 5 days, running daily from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., except for the last day, which ends at 11:00 a.m. The sessions will be conducted in English.

Computer and temporary EMTP® licenses

Every participant is required to bring their own personal computer. Temporary EMTP® licenses will be provided to participants for the course’s duration.

Intended audience

This training is ideal for T&D electrical engineers, consultants, industry professionals, researchers, and post-graduate students involved in power system studies.
