Hi, I am working on FACTS controller and I need to measure spectral cotent of current/voltage signal. I have tried matlab but coulnd’t achieve satisfactory result. I guess it is due to the simulation time step emtp use for transients is different than Main Time Step we supplied on simulation option. Is there any spectrum analyzer tool? Thanks

You can use the fx (Function Editor) option is the Signal page of ScopeView. Many Spectral/Harmonic analysis functions are available.

Thanks a lot. I was not aware of function editor feature. My problem has been almost solved. I need to do spectral analysis of certain part of signal only(like 20 cycle after fault etc). Can I do it right away from scopeview?

Yes you can use the ‘limit’ function in the Miscellaneous library to define left and right bondaries of your signal.

I couldn’t find Miscellaneous Library in EMTPWorks & ScopeView. Could you please tell me where is that?. I am using version 2.0.2

This is in ScopeView Function Editor under Micellaneous.

In the Signal page click on Fx and then under Category choose Micellaneous and limit.
