DESCRIPTION:HVDC-VSC Systems Training \nObjectives\nThe objective of the training is to present a technical hands-on on HVDC-VSC systems.\nIt is organized in collaboration with RTE International. \nThe training covers the following topics: \nIntroduction to Power Systems \nIntroduction to VSC-MMC technology \nModeling and simulation of HVDC-VSC systems with EMTP® \nVSC-MMC station control and protection \nIntroduction to DC cable technology \nHVDC-VSC project specifications \nMaintenance of HVDC converters \nThis course presents practical and technical information on HVDC-VSC systems.\nEMTP® will be used to illustrate concepts and performances of HVDC-VSC systems. \nTraining structure\nThe duration is 5 days.\nThe training starts at 9:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm every day.\nLunch breaks (included in the course fee) are from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. \nIntended audience\nThis course is designed for engineers\, researchers\, and students with a keen interest in HVDC systems. \nComputer and temporary EMTP® licenses\nEvery participant is required to bring their own personal computer.
