SUMMARY:Mastering EMTP: Advanced Training
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThis training will be held in English. \nThis course is designed to help participants master advanced capabilities in EMTP® and leverage them for greater efficiency and customization. By the end of the training\, participants will be able to: \n\nImprove proficiency with EMTP®\nScript and automate the graphical user interface\nCreate customized toolboxes\nIntegrate DLLs to extend EMTP’s functionality\n\nPrior experience with EMTP is strongly recommended. The course includes hands-on exercises and guided examples to build both theoretical understanding and practical skills for advanced workflows. \n  \nTraining structure\nThe training lasts for 3 days\, running daily from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.\, except for the third day\, which ends at 11:00 a.m. The sessions will be conducted in English. \n  \nComputer and temporary EMTP® licenses\nEvery participant is required to bring their own personal computer. Temporary EMTP® licenses will be provided to participants for the course’s duration. \nIntended audience\nThis training is ideal for T&D electrical engineers\, consultants\, industry professionals\, researchers\, and post-graduate students involved in power system studies. \nTicket types\nRegular Ticket (Full Admission) \nIncludes a temporary EMTP® license\, access to live Q&A\, and participation in small hands-on labs with personalized support. Ideal for those who want to actively practice during the training. \nListener Ticket  (Listen Only) \nGrants full access to all presentations and sessions but excludes EMTP® licenses and lab participation. Best for those who prefer to focus on listening only. \n  \nProgram\nDay 1: Tuesday\, October 13\, 2026 \n\nParallel computing\nParametric study\n\n  \nDay 2: Wednesday\, October 14\, 2026 \n\nScripting with EMTP® (JavaScript\, Python)- Modify a circuit\n– Modify a circuit\n– Start a simulation\n– Post process results\n\n  \nDay 3: Thursday\, October 15\, 2026 \n\nControl DLL integration using CIGRE/IEEE standard DLL interface
